These terms cover your use of Violin Swaras at violinswaras.com. By using the app, you agree to them.

The service

Violin Swaras is a free practice hub offering Carnatic and Hindustani violin exercises — Varisai, Alankaram, Geetham, and Nottuswaram — along with a built-in metronome and tanpura tuner. It's provided as-is, for personal practice use.

Accounts

Signing in uses Google Sign-In. You're responsible for whatever Google account you use to sign in, and for keeping it secure. We may suspend or remove an account that's used to abuse the service (for example, attempting to disrupt the app for other users).

Your practice data

Progress and streak data saved to your account belongs to you. See the Privacy Policy for how it's stored and how to have it deleted.

Content and exercises

Exercise notation, talam, and lyric content on this site is provided for personal educational use. Book listings link out to Amazon for purchase — those transactions happen entirely on Amazon under Amazon's own terms; we're not a party to that sale.

Advertising

The app is supported by ads served through Google AdSense. We don't control the specific ads shown to any individual visitor.

No warranty

The app is offered without warranty of any kind. We aim for accuracy in every exercise's notation and talam, but Violin Swaras is not a substitute for a qualified teacher, and we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Violin Swaras and its creator aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.
